Trans-Machine Technologies is announcing the expansion of their business into the rapidly growing market of additive manufacturing. Trans-Machine Additive LLC. (TMA) will be a division of Trans-Machine Technologies focused on metal additive manufacturing.
Leading this effort will be Greg Sabin (President) who has over 25 years of experience in Naval Engineering and over 10 years in the field of production focused additive manufacturing. TMA will be establishing additive manufacturing capability with the purchase of two aerospace-grade metal additive manufacturing printers; an Arcam Q20-plus and an Arcam A2X. Two of the most advanced metal additive machines in the world capable of producing light-weight, cost-effective components in a range of metals including TiAl6V4, Inconel 718, TiAl as well as other difficult to machine metal alloys. TMA will be establishing ISO9000 and AS9100 quality control measures adhering to aerospace performance standards and quality requirements.
In an effort to be a turn-key production and development center for additive manufacturing, Trans-Machine Additive will be looking to add advanced metrology, metallurgical, and machining capability to complement its additive manufacturing processes.
TMA has a highly experienced and skilled PhD staff with experience in both laser and electron beam additive materials. Engineering services including part re-design and optimization as well as non-destructive testing and metrology of additive parts is also available to its customers. TMA will be able to work with its customers to help determine feasibility of fabrication in additive vs. traditional machining.
Trans-Machine will be working with national laboratories, universities, and local community colleges to further advance the manufacturing technologies and workforce needs for its customers.
