Intech has confirmed an order for the Additive Industries MetalFAB1 system. The order of the leading metal additive manufacturing company in India underlines the expansion of Additive Industries to Asia. Both process and application development and customer support will be done from the recently announced regional Additive Industries center in Singapore.
“Accelerating adoption of additive manufacturing is the primary objective at Intech. Moving from prototyping to series production with focus on cost per part with repeatable quality is the way forward”, confirms Mr. Sridhar Balaram, CEO of Intech. He further adds: “This is a stepping stone for Intech in achieving its goal to meet the demands of customer requirements of printing large parts with excellent quality.
Intech has been working with various customers in different industry verticals by identifying parts for mass production as a proof of concept. With Additive Industries’ MetalFAB1 we can now scale for volume. The system is unique in the industry and we are excited to add this to our fleet of equipment”.
“We are excited to expand our installed base to India with such an experienced partner. Their order confirms our strategy and focus around industrialization and productivity leadership”, said Ilko Bosman, CFO of Additive Industries.
“The Indian market offers a great potential for our technology because of the well developed markets of aerospace, automotive and medical implants. We are grateful for Intech to help us develop these segments”, concluded Daan Kersten, CEO of Additive Industries.
