Following the official State Visit to The Netherlands, the President of the Republic of Singapore, Mdm Halimah Yacob, visited Eindhoven where Additive Industries officially announced its Process & Application Development Center in Singapore.

Additive Industries will build this into a regional hub for local development and customer support. In addition to a local role, the Singapore Process & Application Development Center will also have a global function as a competence center for industrialisation of metal additive manufacturing within the company. Special market focus will be on regional key verticals such as semiconductor equipment, aerospace as well as marine, oil and gas.

“The presence of Additive industries in Singapore will deepen our Industry 4.0 capabilities, and accelerate the adoption of additive manufacturing technologies across key sectors such as aerospace, marine and offshore, medical technology, and semiconductors. We welcome Additive Industries to our manufacturing ecosystem as it joins the community of over 1,600 Dutch companies in Singapore,” said Mr. Chang Chin Nam, Executive Director, Technology Hardware & Equipment, Singapore Economic Development Board.

“Singapore is an ideal stepping stone for Additive Industries’ growth ambitions in the Asia-Pacific region. It is a natural hub with great infrastructure, it’s an excellent fit with our target markets and the governmental support accelerates our execution”, added Daan Kersten, CEO of Additive Industries. “We are excited to gain access to the well-developed additive manufacturing ecosystem and talent-pool of Singapore. The six local additive manufacturing centers there offer fertile ground for a fast growing company like us”, confirmed Dr. Mark Beard, Global Director Process & Application Development at Additive Industries.
